CHARLOTTE, Oct. 20, 2016 – Poyner Spruill is pleased to announce Brenna Davenport and Colin McGrath have joined the firm as associates.
Davenport focuses her legal practice on employee benefits and business law. She represents clients in the design, implementation and administration of retirement, welfare, fringe and executive compensation plans. In business law, she advises corporate clients and nonprofit entities in a broad range of corporate transactional issues.
Davenport is vice chair of Mecklenburg County Bar’s Community Services Committee, a member of the Young Lawyers Division Legal Assistance Committee and secretary/treasurer of the Charlotte Benefits Forum.
She earned her J.D., cum laude, from Campbell University in 2011 and B.S., summa cum laude, from the University of South Carolina in 2008. Before joining Poyner Spruill, Davenport was as an associate at Johnston, Allison & Hord, P.A.
McGrath concentrates his legal practice on zoning and land use, and assists partners in representing land owners, developers and local government in state and federal court. McGrath also represents clients in civil litigation involving complex business disputes.
He earned his J.D. from Campbell University in 2014 and his B.A., magna cum laude, from the University of South Carolina in 2011. McGrath worked previously as law clerk to the Honorable Gregory P.
