Poyner Spruill LLP is pleased to announce five firm professionals, Sandy Chrisawn, Siobhan Evans, Dale Lee, Susan Washington-Yow, and N’imah White, were honored among North Carolina Lawyers Weekly’s 2019 Unsung Legal Heroes. Notably, Poyner Spruill had more honorees this year than any other firm or legal organization in the state.
Each honoree was profiled for their work in the December 23, 2019 edition of North Carolina Lawyers Weekly, including firm professionals:
- Chrisawn, a legal assistant supporting several litigators in the firm’s Raleigh office;
- Evans, a Raleigh paralegal working closely with the firm’s employment, immigration, and employee benefits attorneys and clients;
- Lee, a cloud solutions architect in the Raleigh IT department partnering with attorneys and clients to create technology solutions to support legal management processes, including document workflows and contract automation;
- Washington-Yow, an accounting clerk in Charlotte assisting clients with making payments, obtaining required tax documents, and answering questions regarding invoices; and
- White, a records coordinator in Raleigh helping attorneys at the firm appropriately care for their clients’ documents and records.
The Unsung Legal Heroes awards honor law firm employees who have consistently gone above and beyond the call of duty, often behind the scenes, and is reserved for the state’s most talented and dedicated legal support professionals. The honorees can come from eight different categories: firm administrator, law librarian, legal marketing, legal secretary, IT, accounting, paralegal, and legal education.
