Poyner Spruill LLP partner Kelsey Mayo participated in all five sessions and led Session 4 at the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries (ASPPA) Spring Virtual Conference on Thursday, May 16.
The online programming included Mayo talking to participants on ways to avoid complicating the operation of a retirement plan. She used case studies and real-life and hypothetical scenarios to demonstrate the rules and impact of controlled groups and affiliated service groups. The final session from 3:20 p.m. to 5 p.m. was an Ask the Experts panel involving Mayo and the other four lead presenters.
