Poyner Spruill LLP is pleased to announce that Marieé Walton has joined the firm as its Chief Operating Officer. Walton draws on her experience in the finance industry on Wall Street to lead the firm’s operational functions.
Walton brings more than 20 years of financial and legal experience to the firm. Prior to joining Poyner Spruill, she was the Chief Administrative Officer of a private equity start-up in New York City. Walton was involved in every aspect of the launch, including building the back office from one to 20 affiliated companies, managing the Finance and Accounting departments, researching and hiring all vendors, developing the CRM system, and writing policies and procedures.

Working closely with the Managing Partner and department heads, Walton is responsible for aligning operational strategies to support the firm’s future growth and success.
Walton earned her undergraduate degree from the University of New Orleans. She obtained a Master of Business Administration in Finance from New York University. Walton is based out of the firm’s Raleigh office.
