Poyner Spruill Welcomes Education Law Practice Group

RALEIGH, NC – Poyner Spruill LLP is pleased to announce that Caroline Mackie and Paul Fogleman have been named Partners in the firm. “Both Caroline and Paul have been great advocates for our clients and are wonderful additions to our partnership,” said Dan Cahill, the firm’s Managing Partner.

Caroline concentrates her practice on complex commercial and governmental litigation, representing governmental entities, non-profit organizations, financial service institutions, closely-held corporations, and regional and national companies regarding a broad range of legal matters.

Caroline serves on the board for Meals on Wheels of Wake County as well as serving on the Wake Forest University School of Law Young Alumni board. She is active in the North Carolina Bar Association as well as the Wake County Bar Association.

She received her BA from the University of North Carolina and her JD from Wake Forest University School of Law.

As a member of the firm’s Banking and Financial Services Section, Paul represents financial institutions, lenders, and borrowers in a wide range of finance transactions, and also has experience advising banking clients on regulatory compliance issues. In addition, a portion of his practice focuses on real estate transactions representing borrowers and developers in a myriad of transactions.

Paul is active in many organizations including the Poe Center for Health Education, the North Carolina Bar Association, the Wake County Bar Association, and the Wake County Real Property Lawyers Association.

He received his BS from North Carolina State University and his JD from the University of South Carolina School of Law.
