RALEIGH, N.C. — Poyner Spruill LLP is pleased to announce that firm managing partner Dan Cahill has been selected to serve on the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce’s Executive Committee. The board confirmed Cahill with a slate of nominees at its July meeting, and his term for 2018-19 started October 1.
The Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce’s mission is to build a thriving regional economy, enhance the community’s quality of life and strengthen member businesses. A nonprofit, membership-based business association serving Raleigh and the surrounding region, the chamber is the Triangle’s largest business membership organization, with more than 2,200 member firms representing two-thirds of the private sector employment in Wake County.
“I’m honored to have the opportunity to serve the business community in this capacity on behalf of Poyner Spruill. Our firm has a long history of service to the Chamber,” Cahill said. “The Chamber works hard to represent the interests of our local partners, and I look forward to collaborating with other leaders to develop ideas and strategies to maintain the economic success in the region. The Triangle is a wonderful area filled with diverse businesses, and Poyner Spruill takes great pride in being a part of that collective.”
Elected managing partner of Poyner Spruill in 2017, Cahill serves as the chair of the firm’s Management Committee and also as the firm’s assistant general counsel and loss prevention partner. He is a lifelong Raleigh resident with more than two decades of experience representing corporations in all types of commercial disputes in state and federal court and through alternative dispute resolution.
Cahill’s practice focuses on complex commercial disputes and representing banks and financial institutions in all types of litigation.
