Biography
Ben’s legal practice is a continuation of his over ten years of experience in the construction industry, including working as a construction superintendent and project manager. Ben brings his unique perspective to his construction law practice where he represents owners, contractors, and subcontractors. Ben regularly assists his clients with the preparation and negotiation of construction contracts, advice during the construction process, and prosecution and defense of payment, defect, extra work, termination, delay, inefficiency, bond, and lien claims.
In addition to being a North Carolina-licensed lawyer, he is also a licensed North Carolina Professional Engineer and a LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP).
Prior to joining Poyner Spruill and before attending law school, Ben served as a construction project manager for a global and a regional general contractor.
