Biography
She handles matters involving special education for school districts throughout the state, including special education grievances; rights of students under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (“IDEA”), and the Americans with Disabilities Act, as well as Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.
Hitch was asked to participate in the working groups on both the state and national levels to provide input on state special education issues and the anticipated Congressional revision of the IDEA. She is a frequent speaker at the district, state, and national levels on many different topics dealing with education law.
